Ece Oyken

About the Founder

Ece Öyken

Founder & Lead Counselor

Ece Öyken is an overseas college guidance counselor with eight years of international counseling in Japan and Turkey. She has guided students to leading universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Japan, including Ivy League acceptances with scholarships.

Having once been an international student herself, Ece brings first-hand insight into the global admissions journey. Through prestigious scholarships, she studied in Germany, Japan, and the United States, experiences that shape her culturally aware and empathetic approach to counseling.

Ece takes a student-centered approach, focusing on each student’s intellectual and personal development rather than only admissions outcomes. She helps students identify their strengths, recognize areas for growth, and develop the academic, personal, and organizational skills necessary to thrive in university life. She has worked with a wide range of students, including student-athletes and student artists, and has extensive knowledge of IB and AP application processes.

She previously served as Director of College Counseling at TED Istanbul College, where she led counseling initiatives, trained staff, and helped develop structured university guidance programs. In this role, she worked closely with approximately 200 students each year, supporting nearly 600 students over three graduating cohorts.

Ece holds a CELTA certification (Pass A) and has experience building educational programs, teaching English, training educators, and leading academic departments. With a multicultural background, she is fluent in English and Turkish, Japanese, and German.
